Ashleigh Diserio is the founder of Diserio Consulting, where she brings a rare combination of behavioral science, investigative expertise, and holistic coaching to support individuals and organizations in navigating behavioral complexity, building clarity, and fostering resilience.

Ashleigh studies human behavior through a whole-person lens, recognizing that mindset, motivation, and decision-making are shaped not only by psychological and physical states but also by social, cultural, and environmental factors. This integrative perspective is the foundation of all her work.

With 19 years of experience providing psychologically informed consultation to the U.S. government and private sector, Ashleigh has worked on some of the most sensitive and complex issues, including violent crime, insider threat, intelligence and national security investigations, sexual assault, child abuse, workplace violence, stalking, suicide, radicalization, and active shooter cases. She helps organizations and individuals understand human behavior at a deep level, assessing risk, identifying patterns, and developing strategies to prevent harm and enhance safety.

Ashleigh is also a respected trainer and educator. She has developed and taught graduate-level coursework in forensic and behavioral sciences at institutions such as Alliant International University, Marymount University, the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, and Georgetown University.

In addition to her work in investigations and behavioral risk, Ashleigh offers life and career coaching rooted in mindfulness, psychology, and resilience-building. Through her Resilient Souls® coaching program, she empowers individuals to reconnect with themselves, find clarity, and take proactive steps toward lives that reflect their values and purpose. Her coaching often incorporates nature through walking sessions and forest bathing to create space for reflection, insight, and growth.

Ashleigh holds a B.S. in Psychology from Bethany College, an M.A. in Forensic Psychology from Marymount University, and a certification in life coaching from The Institute for Life Coach Training. She has completed specialized training in evidence-based practices related to behavioral analysis, trauma-informed care, and threat assessment.

At Diserio Consulting, Ashleigh ensures that she and all her consultants combine science, intuition, and compassion to deliver services that are strategic and deeply human.

This work is Ashleigh's Passion.

“Why are people quick to blame others for their behavior while offering excuses for their own?"

"How can a person do something that, in retrospect, they will never believe is okay?"

“What causes a person to commit a heinous crime?”

Answering questions like these has been a driving factor for Ashleigh Diserio throughout her career.  From an early age, she found human behavior fascinating. She wanted to understand why people act and think the way they do and analyze why, in many instances, humans behave in reasonably predictable ways. Ashleigh has dedicated her career to studying human behavior at its most basic level, striving to improve society by equipping others with the knowledge, tools, and resources to use in day-to-day interactions. We all encounter human behavior daily and should be equipped with the knowledge to understand it.

Volunteering and serving others is a privilege for which Ashleigh is grateful. She applies the knowledge she has gained throughout her career and personal life to help others. Many may not be fully aware of the impact victimization can have on crime victims' lives, but Ashleigh knows from personal experience, as a survivor and someone who works daily with survivors. Deeply traumatic crimes can cause severe damage to survivors’ emotional, physical, and psychological well-being. Far too many survivors are harmed or retraumatized by insensitive, uninformed, or inadequate community and criminal justice system responses. Ashleigh knows the critical importance of being trained to recognize and understand the impact of trauma on survivors. Over the years, many crime victims have turned to Ashleigh for support. She is happy to give back by being a valuable resource to victims of crime. She offers them a consultation where she listens, casts no judgment, creates a trusting relationship, and an open communication channel, allowing her to assess their case and direct them to resources that can assist them.
